Exodus 20.1-2, 7 "...You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain,"

Lord’s Day, 12 October 2008
Exodus 20.1-2, 7

And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery…You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.”

Lord, I have taken your name as your child. I am John Barjesus. I claim the sonship of the living God with all the rights, powers, responsibilities, benefits, and prerogatives inherent in the family. It is my name now. I come to You to guide me through Your Spirit into full sonship.
