Psalm 55:1-3 Give ear to my prayer, O God, and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy!

Isaiah 9:6-7 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (7) Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Psalm 55:1-3 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Maskil of David.
Give ear to my prayer, O God, and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy! Attend to me, and answer me; I am restless in my complaint and I moan, because of the noise of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked. For they drop trouble upon me, and in anger they bear a grudge against me.

Sometimes, Lord, the enemy mounts attack upon attack upon one or more of us and we all suffer.. Sometimes the assault takes the form of depression and anxiety, sometimes it is a problem with family members or even fellow believers. Sometimes, insidiously quiet and seemingly unoffensive; at other times up front and in your face. Lord, hear our plea; do not hide Yourself from Your people.
