Lord, I still find that the reactions of others to what I say or do is of major importance to me. Why do I look to others for a sign of approval when You have given me a scripture to share or meditate upon? Why do I hunger for someone to tell me I was hearing You? Why cannot I trust that I do hear You and do hear the leading of Your Holy Spirit?
Give me life, Lord, give me life that feeds upon You and Your "Well done," not some weak substitute for life that Satan tells me is necessary for the peace of my soul. Lord, bring the eyes of my heart to see you clearly and without distraction.
Voices Together is taken from my daily meditations, primarily on the Psalms. However, from time to time, I will include a meditation on the practical implications of the Law as I seek to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 119:153-154 Look on my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget Your law.
Psalm 119:153-154 Look on my affliction and deliver me, for I do not forget Your law. Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to Your promise!
