Exodus 20.1-2, 16
And God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery…You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.”
How will I be challenged by that today, LORD? What opportunities will I have for bearing true witness for my neighbor? Keep me this day, from the love of a joke that uses others as the butt. It is a way of bringing attention to me, when I make people laugh at someone else’s expense. Help me, LORD.
