Psalm 40.5-6
You have multiplied, O LORD my God, Your wondrous deeds and Your thoughts toward us; none can compare with You! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.
Lord, my testimony is weak and I am often unwilling. I repent; I seek to be transformed into a vibrant, living example of Your love in action. What ever it takes, Lord, transform me. May Your will be my will; Your love, my love; Your grace, my grace. In all things, for all people, for all purposes. To tell and to live as You tell and live. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
In sacrifice and offering You have not delighted, but You have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required.
Lord, do not let me fall into the trap of thinking that all this busyness is what is called the “Lord’s Work” and that it will serve as devotion to You. You have given me an open ear; my devotion to You is measured not by my busynesses but by my willingness to come to that open ear.
Lord, may it be so!
