Then I said, “Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me: I delight to do your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart." I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips, as You know, O LORD. I have not hidden Your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness from the great congregation.
What a passage for the morning that we go to the nursing home. The great congregation this morning is a precious group of the elderly.
Give us the words to speak to them of Your deliverance, of Your love and grace and mercy. Let our lips sing Your praises and speak of Your faithfulness, let our ears hear their calls for help and hope, and give us the grace to respond in love and gentleness.
Thank You, Lord, that Betty can go with me, that this has become a joint ministry. Thank You for those others who join their voices with ours and are willing to play the piano. Thank You, gracious Lord.
